On both tours today we had competition pods which had our hearts racing as we watched these powerful male Humpbacks show off their dominant behaviours and the females use our vessel to race underneath, trying to keep the males from getting too close! On our morning experience five Humpbacks surfaced in front of our bow and the energy from them was incredible, you could hear their strength in every exhalation.
Our wonderful Southern Right Whales continue to amaze us as another three were sighted on this afternoons tour relaxing in the calm of Flinders Bay. We are so excited to be having regular sightings of these special whales so early in season 2017 and hopefully this will continue into the season, but for now we will enjoy every moment with them❤
