Today we met two baby Southern Right Whales, a baby Bottlenose Dolphin and little Flin Flinders the baby Humpback Whale.. babies everywhere! All little ones were looking very happy and healthy as they enjoyed their day in Flinders Bay always keeping close to mum as there is still so much to learn in their very young lives, but even at this young age they still took every opportunity to have a cheeky look at us.
Growing at an incredible rate these baby whales will very quickly learn from mum everything they need to thrive. Lessons are learnt quickly and behaviours practiced daily so in as little as twelve months these baby Southern Rights and Humpbacks will be regarded as teenagers and ready to leave their devoted mum and begin a brand new adventure. We certainly are lucky to spend some special time with them in these early development days.
