Bremer Bay Orca Season 2026 begins with our first tour today and an incredible start to the year with three seperate Orca family pods observed! It was exciting to be back out on the water and moments after arriving in The Patch there they were, Wonks made the first appearance for the 2026 season and it was wonderful to see him having some fun hanging out with Fanscar. Soon we had others joining in on the social interaction with members from Kidji and Cheryl’s family all mingling together. Gabrielle was looking very strong and soon it will be this little ones first birthday, time certainly does fly.
All of the Orca we observed today were looking healthy and strong which will hopefully indicate that it was a very successful winter and spring for them all. Playtime was the theme for the majority of the day before the early afternoon shifted to some foraging which resulted in a few oil slicks indicating a couple of smaller meals. A bit of food and a busy morning of play had them all relaxed and settling in for an afternoon snooze. We were thrilled to be back out with the Orca again and it is always a wonderful feeling to catchup with them all and see them all looking very healthy so far. Plenty of other pods and pod members to meet in the days and weeks ahead, so we look forward to seeing how the season will unfold with the incredible Orca of Bremer Bay.
