Rain was all around today and so were our Humpbacks who never let a bit of rain get in the way of their social lives! Our first two pods of the afternoon were moving through Flinders Bay quickly and were very focused on continuing their migration north to warmer waters and their breeding/nursery grounds which are found in the beautiful Kimberly Region.
Once again our busy male Humpbacks were showing off their muscles with a large pod of six Humpbacks rolling around at the surface with much tail diving, fluke and pec swiping and a big spy hop from one of the largest individuals. The sky was also full of Gannets, Crested Terns, Arctic Skua and Albatross feeding from the large bait fish schools with one Skua coming right over to our bow to say hello and check for any food scraps.
