Humpback Whales once again filled Flinders Bay and we could see them all around and it was only a matter of moments before the surface activity would begin! Sure enough, a few breaches on the horizon and two pods moving towards each other allowed our guests to see the Language of the Whales very clearly as they began communicating to each other.
The pods joined and we watched as they raced across the bay, pushing and shoving until one of the larger individuals threw two huge peduncle slaps which slightly slowed the pod down considerably! On our journey back to the Augusta Boat Harbour we were all stunned to see two Humpbacks rise belly to belly in a spy hop, the perfect embrace and although the moment was only brief it was very special
