A winter wonderland type of day as rain showers moved through and the whales made the most of their fresh water shower with full bodied breaching sighted on both our morning and afternoon experiences. Australian Whale Species Mingle 24th June 2019 Australian Whale species mingled today as to our great excitement a very curious Southern Right Whale and Humpback swam past and met briefly in Flinders Bay, Augusta. Popcorn Whales and Augusta Albatross 23rd June 2019 Today we were watching Augusta Albatross and popcorn whales as all around us breaching, head lunging and peduncle lobs popped. The whales were busy this morning as they moved past Cape Leeuwin to urgently continue their northern migration.
